  1. refers to the word "got to go".

  2. It is the abbreviation of the phrase “got to go”. People usually use “gtg” when they are texting or chatting. This is a goodbye message from a person who needs to logout the messenger, from a person who needs to do some other thing, from a person who needs to leave the place.
